Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentations: 

Presentation time will be 15 minutes. Please plan your talk to be 12 minutes in length, allowing for a few minutes of Q&A. 

Please upload your PowerPoint presentation to the link provided in your acceptance email by Friday, January 26, 2024. There will be a PC available onsite with all received presentations to make any last-minute changes, or to test your presentation file. You will receive a confirmation email that your presentation has been received. Please contact USHUPO@conferencesolutionsinc.com if you are having trouble uploading your files.

 

Poster Presentations: 

Posters will be on display Monday or Tuesday. Posters displayed on Monday will be set up between 7:15am and 8:15am. They will need to be taken down Monday between 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Posters assigned to Tuesday will need to be put up between 7:15am and 8:15am. They will need to be taken down Tuesday between 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Any posters not taken down by their assigned timeframe will be thrown away.

 

Poster presentation space is limited to the dimensions of 44 in. x 44 in. (112 cm. x 112 cm.). Push pins will be provided on-site to affix your poster to the display board.

 

Poster Presentation Details: Odd-numbered poster boards will present on Monday and even-numbered poster boards will present on Tuesday.

Poster Sessions Location: Regency Ballroom B, C, D and Regency Foyer at the Hyatt Hotel Portland, OR.

Lightning Talks:

Lightning Talks sessions take place on Monday and Tuesday immediately prior to the poster sessions. Each presentation is a strict 60-seconds in length (max!) and are intended to highlight your poster presentation. Please do not include animations in your slide and only upload ONE slide. If your slide is not uploaded correctly, or multiple slides are uploaded, your slide will be returned to you for editing. You should NOT give away the whole story of your poster in your 60-seconds –you are trying to get folks interested to come and visit your poster.

 

If you are unable to present, please notify me by email by Wednesday, February17, 2024. Please come to the session room 15 minutes early and plan to stay for the entire session.
